Shane & Shane To Release ‘Everything Is Different’ Nov. 3

by admin on Oct.02, 2009, under Shane & Shane

Celebrated acoustic duo Shane & Shane releases its seventh career studio project, Everything Is Different, Nov. 3, 2009. The record’s debut radio single, “My Hope Is Built,” will vie for adds at Christian Adult Contemporary radio beginning Nov. 6.

With contributions by star producers Peter Kipley (Mercy Me, Kutless) and Jason Hoard (Fee) as well as audio engineering legend Steve Churchyard (The Eagles, INXS, Kelly Clarkson), Everything Is Different was recorded both in San Diego and Dallas. Heavily influenced by Shane & Shane’s role as worship leaders at their home church in Red Oak, Texas, the album’s content is Scripture-focused, while its style and sound are worshipful in nature.

Also unique to Everything Is Different, Shane & Shane recorded most of the entire album live, tracking all of the basic instrumentation simultaneously. “We set up some mics on the acoustic guitars and the drums and just played,” describes Shane Everett. “We did very little editing, and we loved not just the process but the feel of the record.” The duo also engineered the bulk of the project at their own Spaceway Studios.

The lead single from Everything Is Different, “My Hope Is Built,” was originally written and recorded for a CD the twosome is producing and engineering for its church. The song, a modern take on a classic hymn, will be heard by national audiences via Christian radio starting Nov. 6.

“In essence the record has our hands all over it and is truly an expression of our heart,” says Shane Everett. “Our hope is that people are blessed by our efforts and that the spirit of the Lord moves hearts to love Him more. If that happens, it is a miracle–because when lives are changed by Jesus, everything is different.”
