Superchick poses for photographers on the red carpet of the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The group received a nomination in the category of Best Rock Or Rap Gospel Album for its 2008 release, Rock What You Got.

Lead guitarist for Superchick, Dave Ghazarian meets Mrs. Clarence Fender, widow of legendary guitar maker Clarence “Leo” Fender, at an invitation-only event in Los Angeles on Saturday , Feb. 7, 2009. Mrs. Fender accepted a Technical GRAMMY Award, presented to individuals and companies who have made contributions of outstanding technical significance to the recording field, on behalf of her late husband.

Ghazarian commented about the reception and his GRAMMY experience, “It was an honor to be part of it, and it gives me a renewed energy to continue to make music that will influence people toward an eternal purpose.”
